Louis invented and patented the ET-Lock™ and Unitag™ Cable Identification that were the foundation upon which to establish A'n D Cable Products in 1989. The “A” is named after his son, Alex, and “D” after his daughter, Dana. He acquired 100% of the shares in 1993. He added other innovative cable labeling and cable management products including CableWrap® and CableCatch®. Products are contract manufactured in the USA and distributed worldwide through channel partners such as Micro Warehouse and Black Box, Graybar, Anixter and other resellers. In addition, A'n D Network Services offers Premise Wiring installation Voice & Data Cabling, Local Area Networking, and Fiber Optic Installations for commercial applications. A'n D Network Services is the premier provider of network cabling solutions in California. Their product excellence and strict quality control have won business with corporations such as Georgia Pacific, Criterion Catalysts, AG Edwards and others.
Personal Experience:
Louis is of Dutch ancestry and was born in Indonesia. His family fled for New Guinea during the Independence movement. Louis lived in the lush jungles until age 12 when his family moved to Holland. He received his education in Holland and came to the USA at the age of 18. He joined the U.S. Marine Corps in 1967 and was honorably discharged as a sergeant (E-5). His first job was with Pacific Bell where he spent twenty years in a variety of data management positions that ranged from service, product development, sales, and management. Louis invented ET-Lock ™ on his own time while at PacBell and got a US patent on the product. Unitag™ Cable Identification was a later invention. Louis is an avid sailor, moors his 36’ sailboat in Alameda. His goal is to sail around the World.
