Louis invented and patented the ET-Lock™ and Unitag® Cable Identification that were the foundation upon which to establish A'n D Cable Products in 1989. The “A” is named after his son, Alex, and “D” after his daughter, Dana. He acquired 100% of the shares in 1993. He added other innovative cable labeling and cable management products including CableWrap® and CableCatch®. Products are contract manufactured in the USA and distributed worldwide through channel partners such as Black Box, Graybar, Anixter and other resellers. A'n D Cable Products manufactures cable management products and a variety of custom cables used by companies like Telesat, Motorola, Fujitsu America and the Armed Forces.
Established in 1989, our core product lines are cable management, cable identification and custom low voltage /fiber optic cables. A'n D Cable fabricates custom molded data communications cables and MilSpec ruggedized cables.
Our quick and easy to use cable labeling system called Unitag® is in use world wide and by some of the U.S. Armed forces. We developed a space saving 19" equipment rack bracket RackOrganizer® and custom made labor saving Velcro® straps for companies like Sun Microsystems (Oracle Corp.), Black Box Corp., U.S. Armed Forces and others.

Louis is of Dutch ancestry and was born in Indonesia. His family fled for New Guinea during the Independence movement. Louis lived in the lush jungles until age 12 when his family moved to Holland. He received his education in Holland and came to the USA at the age of 18. He joined the U.S. Marine Corps in 1967 and was honorably discharged as a sergeant (E-5). His first job was with Pacific Bell where he spent twenty years in a variety of data management positions that ranged from service, product development, sales, and management. Louis invented ET-Lock ™ on his own time while at PacBell and got a US patent on the product. Unitag™ Cable Identification was a later invention. Louis is an avid sailor, moors his 36’ sailboat in Alameda. His goal is to sail around the World.
